BLOOMINGTON — Indiana defeated Washington Sunday evening at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall by a final score of 90-80.

The three keys to the game, highlights and final stats are below.

Indiana led 52-40 at halftime. The Hoosiers were led in the game by Lamar Wilkerson with 22 points.  Tayton Conerway added 20, and Conor Enright had 12 points and nine assists.

Indiana (11-3, 2-1) returns to action Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. ET at Maryland.

    THREE KEYS TO THE GAME

    1. A strong offensive start.  Indiana came out of the gates in 2026 on fire.  The Hoosiers made their first five threes and 18 of 26 shots to start the game.  At halftime IU was shooting 66.7% from the field overall, 50% from three and 100% from the free throw line.  That was all good for 1.79 points per possession at the break.  Tayton Conerway was perfect from the field, the arc and the stripe at the half — good for 18 points at the break.

    2. Others step up in the scoring column.  While Tucker DeVries and Lamar Wilkerson lead IU in scoring on the season, several other players had productive scoring nights.  Conerway ended up with 20.  Enright had a season high 12 points and added nine assists, and Trent Sisley scored 10 points in a couple minute span to help slow one of Washington’s rallies.  Wilkerson surged with 18 points in the second half, but on a night when DeVries only had six for the game, Indiana’s bench outscored Washington 26-11.

    3. Low turnovers committed, low offensive rebounds allowed.  Two problematic areas in IU’s three losses were non-issues on Sunday.  Indiana only turned it over four times on the night against 16 assists.  And against a good offensive rebounding Washington team, the Hoosiers only allowed the Huskies eight boards on their misses.  Indiana had three more offensive rebounds than Washington.
