The first of what will be several mid-major opponents IU basketball will face next season was announced on Friday.
According to a report by Jon Rothstein, the Hoosiers will take on Harvard as part of their 2023-24 non-conference slate.
Crimson head coach Tommy Amaker will lead Harvard for a 17th campaign in 2023-24. They finished this past season with a 14-14 record and were ranked No. 158 nationally at the end of the year according to KenPom.
Harvard will have to replace leading scorer Chris Ledlum, a player IU tried to recruit out of the transfer portal, but they should have several other key players back next season.
Indiana and Harvard have only met once before. In Bob Knight’s second season as IU basketball coach (1972-73), the Hoosiers defeated the Crimson 97-76 in the season opener at Bloomington.
Overall, 24 of IU’s 31 opponents for next season have been announced, including all 20 Big Ten games and now four non-conference foes. For all of Indiana’s known future opponents, GO HERE:
