Indiana has had a third player decommit from its 2023 class.
On Thursday, 3-star defensive back Travon West announced he has reopened his recruitment.
“I want to start off by saying I thank everyone a part of the Indiana staff for believing and taking the chance on me,” West wrote. “After talks with my family and coaches, I’ve decided to decommit from Indiana University and reopen my recruitment.”
Indiana currently has just nine commits in its 2023 recruiting class.
Head coach Tom Allen said in August he expects a relatively small class size due to limited available roster spots.
Previously, defensive back Daeh McCullough and linebacker Denzel Moore announced they had decommitted from IU’s 2023 class.
West originally committed to IU in June. He is ranked the No. 1,013 overall player in the 2023 class according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 98 cornerback.
