There’s been a lot of talk about Indiana class of 2024 5-star recruiting target Boogie Fland this week.
And a growing consensus IU, Kentucky and Alabama were his top three schools.
He confirmed that on Thursday.
Fland told 247Sports national analyst Dushawn London he’s focused on the three schools in the late stages of his recruitment.
“Indiana, Kentucky, Alabama are the schools pushing hard to get me and I’m focused on those three schools,” Fland said to London.
Fland told London what he liked about Indiana.
“Coach Woodson has a staff that has a similar background to his. They didn’t play but they touched NBA waters. Everyone on that staff has a sense of NBA knowledge and that could help in the long run. Also, basketball is very big in Indiana and they’re not playing around. They’re coming to win and do the job.”
In the full report from London, Fland talked about all three of his top schools.
The 6-foot-3 Fland announced a list top-eight schools a couple months ago. He had a visit to Maryland scheduled for this weekend but cancelled it.
He’s now fully in decision making mode. Fland told London the level of interest he receives from each staff including the head coach will be a difference maker. IU coach Mike Woodson was in New York to visit Fland two weeks ago, and the Hoosiers had an assistant coach there yesterday.
Fland didn’t confirm a decision timeline with London, but look for him commit before the early November signing period.
