Curt Cignetti has secured another former James Madison commit to join him at Indiana.
Class of 2024 defensive back Jah Jah Boyd has committed to the Hoosiers, as he announced Monday on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Philadelphia native was JMU’s highest-rated recruit to ever commit to JMU at the time of his initial announcement in July. 247Sports composite ranks him a three-star, and the No. 123 safety in the class. Boyd is the fifth player to flip from JMU to IU since Cignetti arrived in Bloomington.
He originally chose the Dukes over some Power Five programs including Penn State, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Boston College, and some other Group of Five offers, according to 247Sports.
Boyd decommitted from JMU on November 30, the same day Cignetti’s job change became official. IU offered him on December 2, and Pitt offered him two days later. He ultimately chose the Hoosiers over the Panthers.
Boyd checks in at 5-f00t-10 and 170 pounds. He played two ways at Roman Catholic High, taking snaps at wide receiver in addition to defensive back. He’s the fourth DB in Cignetti’s first class at IU, joining Christian Peterson, Dontrae Henderson, and Josh Philostin. He’s the 17th overall player in the class.
