Class of 2025 in-state guard Braylon Mullins hasn’t formally announced that he’s down to seven schools, but his fall plans suggest that’s where things stand.
Mullins shared with Kyle Neddenriep of the Indy Star on Monday that he will not visit Purdue, Alabama or Kansas over the next couple months. All three schools were listed in his top-10 announced in July.
The 6-foot-5 product of Greenfield Central H.S. did visit Connecticut earlier this month, and he does have six more visits scheduled. All previously reported, they are as follows:
- Michigan (Sept. 7),
- North Carolina (Sept. 14),
- Indiana (Sept. 20),
- Duke (Oct. 5),
- Tennessee (Oct. 19), and
- Kentucky (Oct. 25)
There was an Alabama visit previously scheduled for Sept. 28. No officials were scheduled for Kansas or Purdue.
Mullins’ visit to Indiana on Sept. 20 was originally set to include his AAU teammate Malachi Moreno, but the 7-foot Moreno committed to Kentucky last weekend and now says he’ll try to convince Mullins to join him in Lexington. Their teammate, Indiana native and Montverde Academy forward Trent Sisley is still scheduled to visit IU with Mullins next month.
Mullins has stated frequently his goal was to complete his recruitment and pick a college before his high school senior season. That objective became more challenging as his recruitment swelled to include virtually every top program in the country and Mullins set out an ambitious visit schedule.
But Mullins told Neddenriep he will “definitely” make a college choice in the late October to late November timeframe.
