The possibility exists Indiana could get Braylon Mullins’ last visit.
The Greenfield, Ind. top-25 senior set an ambitious visit schedule, with talk of stops at all of his ten finalists at one point this summer.
The 6-foot-5 Mullins has already been to Connecticut and Michigan, and he’s at North Carolina this weekend.
But stops at Alabama, Kansas and Purdue have already come off the board, or never got scheduled.
Mullins’ visit to IU comes next weekend, and whether any visits happen after that is on hold until late September, his father confirmed with TDH. That includes a previously scheduled early October trip to Duke that is now also definitively canceled, he confirms. Visits scheduled for later in the month to Tennessee and Kentucky now carry a to be determined label.
The confirmations come after the North Carolina Rivals site reported late Thursday evening via Mullins’ father the Duke visit was canceled and “everything right now in October is like maybe put on hold for a second, so Braylon can figure out if he needs a break, or what he wants to do, and if he wants to continue with it (the visits).”
In a separate report by the Kentucky Rivals site, Mullins’ father acknowledged the commitment to Kentucky by 2025 shooting guard Jasper Johnson has given the family something to think about. “I’m just not sure that they can play together. I don’t know,” he said.
Mullins recruitment has become one that will be very interesting to watch for developments over the next few weeks.
