Indiana has been consistently involved in the recruitment of 2025 center Malachi Moreno for over a year.
In a couple weeks, the Kentucky-based big man will make a return visit to Bloomington.
According to multiple reports, Moreno will visit IU on Sept. 2, the same day as 2025 guard Jalen Haralson.
According to the On3 Industry Average, Moreno is a 4-star prospect, the No. 49 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 7 center.
Indiana offered Moreno in October, and he visited Bloomington for Hoosier Hysteria last year and also their Jan. 8 game against Northwestern.
As a sophomore at Great Crossing H.S. (Georgetown, Ky.), Moreno averaged 14.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 4.8 blocks per game. He shot 64 percent from the field overall including 1-of-7 from three. Moreno shot 62 percent from the free throw line.
In addition to IU, Moreno’s offers include Cincinnati, Xavier, Iowa Ohio State, Purdue, Missouri, Notre Dame, Michigan, Creighton, N.C. State, Arkansas, Virginia Tech and Tennessee.
The Indiana visit is the first of five straight in September including Arkansas, Michigan, Notre Dame and Tennessee.
