Last weekend Boogie Fland told The Daily Hoosier he was looking at dates for a June official visit to Indiana.
According to multiple reports, the 5-star will come to Bloomington June 13-15.
Indiana offered Fland more than a year ago and didn’t appear to be a significant player in his recruitment for most of that span. But things have picked up considerably over the last month.
In Memphis over the weekend, Fland told The Daily Hoosier what he likes about Indiana. The one-and-done season of Jalen Hood-Schifino particularly stood out.
“I like what they (Indiana) did with him (Hood-Schifino),” Fland told The Daily Hoosier. “They put him in the draft. They play my style, and I like their player development.”
According to Joe Tipton of On3, Fland also plans to visit Kentucky during the first week of September, and Alabama, UConn, and Oregon are on the table as potential visits. He’s already been to North Carolina and Michigan.
Fland is the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2024 class according to the On3 Industry rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting outlets. He’s the No. 1 point guard according to that service.
Fland is the second top-40 class of 2024 prospect to schedule a June official visit to IU. Combo guard Jaeden Mustaf will be at IU June 8-10.
