Indiana will get a second visit from a quarterback multiple outlets say is the best in the 2025 class.
And this time he’ll take a more extensive look at Curt Cignetti’s program.
Multiple reports indicate Carrollton, Ga. based signal-caller Julian Lewis will take an official visit Indiana beginning on May 31.
Lewis previously visited IU over the winter after Cignetti was hired.
“Indiana is building something special. (QB) Coach Tino (Sunseri) and (offensive coordinator) coach (Mike) Shanahan are going to have that offense rolling,” Lewis said to 247Sports after the first IU visit.
247Sports has previously reported three other official visits for Lewis. He’ll be at USC on June 7, Auburn on June 14, and Colorado on June 21.
Lewis has been committed to USC since August. But since reclassifying from the 2026 class to 2025, he has reopened his recruitment.
The 6-foot-1 and 185-pound Lewis is the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 class according to ESPN and Rivals. Those outlets also say he’s the No. 1 overall player in the class, irrespective of position.
According to the On3 average of the main recruiting sites, Lewis is a 5-star prospect, the No. 2 quarterback in the class and the No. 9 overall player.
The new Indiana staff offered Lewis a scholarship just days after taking over in Bloomington. The IU connection is quarterbacks coach Tino Sunseri, who has known Lewis since he was eight-years old.
On3’s Steve Wiltfong posted this picture of Sunseri with Lewis as a small boy.
In his sophomore season, Lewis finished the season with 3,094 passing yards and 48 touchdowns. He only threw two interceptions in 13 games. The Carrollton offense averaged 39.0 points per game. He also threw for over 4,000 yards and 48 TDs as a freshman a season ago.
Indiana does not currently have a quarterback commit in the 2025 class.
