New IU football coach Curt Cignetti and his developing staff appear to be in the process of assessing Tom Allen’s 2024 recruiting class.
At least one verbal commit in the class, 2024 tight end Brody Kosin announced he was re-offered and still committed to IU.

But others are making different announcements.
Yesterday the news broke 2024 quarterback Timothy Carpenter decommitted from Indiana.
Today, two more 2024 recruits announced they’ve decommitted.
Olney (Md.) Good Counsel three-star cornerback Judah Jenkins is one of them.
He was pledged to the Hoosiers since June, and also held offers from Ole Miss, West Virginia, Virginia Tech and others.
Jenkins is the No. 975 overall prospect and No. 98 corner in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
“After talking with my coaches as well as my family, it’s best for me to decommit from Indiana University and reopen my recruitment. Respect my decision. Thank you IU for everything,” Jenkins wrote in his announcement.
Cincinnati, Ohio running back Javier Etheridge also announced he would be looking for a new school.
“After having conversations with family and my coaches I have decided to re open my recruitment 100% and decommit from Indiana university thanks,” Etheridge wrote.
He originally committed to Allen and IU in May.
Etheridge is the No. 1,345 player overall, and the No. 57 athlete. He had offers from Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and West Virginia, among others.
Cignetti and Indiana are looking at former James Madison commit Jah Jah Boyd, among other prospects in the 2024 class. The 2023 early signing period runs Dec. 20-22.
