Indiana will have brothers in their quarterback room next year. And IU almost certainly has their starting QB for the 2025 season. According to multiple reports, Fernando Mendoza has committed to the Hoosiers.  He’ll join his brother, freshman quarterback Alberto Mendoza in Bloomington next month. IU football has not seen a player selected in the NFL Draft for two years. That run of futility was preceded by them having at least one player selected every year from 2014-2022. It looks like a new streak will begin in 2025, as several Hoosiers have the potential to be chosen by an NFL franchise in April. Indiana has solidified its running back room for the 2025 season. According to multiple reports, Maryland transfer Roman Hemby will play for the Hoosiers next season. Hemby led the Terps in 2024 in carries (134), rushing yards (607) and touchdown runs (six). He also caught 40 passes for 273 yards and one score. Over four seasons at Maryland, Hemby played in 42 games and amassed 2,347 yards on the ground with 22 touchdowns. He averaged 4.9 yards per carry.  He has also caught 112 passes for 921 passing yards and five touchdowns.  Hemby is eighth all-time in Maryland program history…

The unquestioned leader of Indiana’s defense is coming back for his senior year season. Linebacker Aiden Fisher announced on social media Sunday evening “More work to be done. Run it back,” signaling his intent to utilize his final year of eligibility in Bloomington. The quest for a convincing basketball game continues. BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana defeated Chattanooga on Saturday afternoon at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall by a final score of 74-65.
