For the second straight game, Indiana suffered from questionable late game decision making in a crushing Big Ten loss. What happened after Purdue’s Trey Kaufman-Renn made a 12-foot jump hook with 11 seconds remaining to give the Boilermakers a 77-76 lead? IU coach Mike Woodson says he wanted a timeout, but instead Luke Goode inbounded the ball to Myles Rice after the Purdue score, and Rice dribbled all the way down the floor to just outside the right block for a contested mid-range jumper. Woodson can clearly be seen gesturing, waving his arm forward for Rice to “Go!” as he…

Indiana has made a massive addition to the 2025 roster. Literally and figuratively. 6-foot-5 and 310-pound Notre Dame starting center Pat Coogan announced today he will play for Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers in 2025. Coogan entered the transfer portal following Notre Dame’s appearance in the national championship game, and visited Indiana this week. He picked IU over Ole Miss, Michigan, and others. Behind Coogan, Notre Dame finished the 2024 season 19th in the nation with more than 200 yards per game rushing. Per PFF, Coogan played 813 snaps this season and was the team’s second highest-graded pass-blocker with…

The bulk of the minutes at guard will rest with Myles Rice, Trey Galloway and Anthony Leal for the Hoosiers. Purdue has no players out or questionable or their…
The long-term viability of the Mike Woodson era as head coach at Indiana has been a popular topic over the last year. And that brings about the understandable question — what are the terms of Woodson’s contract buyout should Indiana decide to make a change after this season, or sooner? And would those contractual requirements play any meaningful role in the decision-making process to retain or fire the fourth-year head coach? The simple answer to the latter question is no, Woodson’s buyout arrangement does not appear likely to be a key consideration. Woodson signed a contract amendment in August of…

The Kansas City Chiefs feature two former IU football players: Cam Jones at linebacker and Peyton Hendershot at tight end. You’ll see both on the field for special teams, and Hendershot occasionally on offense. Wearing No. 44 for the Chiefs, Jones played in both of their playoff games thus far. He saw action on 32 special teams snaps and recorded one tackle. For the second year in a row, Jones played in 17 games with one start…
The IU football program updated their 2025 roster on Wednesday afternoon, and that always brings about a few updates on the players. The headline news today was that 2024 starting cornerback Jamier Johnson is no longer with the team. Here are a few more player notes from the updated 2024 roster: Nick Kidwell (OL) – The veteran offensive lineman has decided not to seek an additional year of eligibility and he is no longer on the roster, The Daily Hoosier has learned. Kidwell appeared to be on track to start at guard in 2024 before suffering a season-ending injury during…
