Indiana has added a second veteran quarterback from the transfer portal. Old Dominion transfer signal-caller Grant Wilson is headed to Bloomington according to multiple reports. The 6-foot-3 and 217-pound Wilson is a product of Arlington, Va. Wilson started three games at quarterback for ODU in 2024 before his season was ended by an injury.  He completed 46-of-86 passes for 507 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. Indiana has made a major addition to their offensive line for 2025. Ohio State transfer offensive tackle Zen Michalski has signed with the Hoosiers according to multiple Friday evening reports. Michalski is from Floyds Knobs, Ind.  He attended Floyd Central H.S. The 6-foot-6 and 319-pound Michalski has appeared in 19 games for the Buckeyes, and will have one year of eligibility remaining — his redshirt senior season. Anthony Leal had no choice but to turn around and let it fly. The result went national as his dramatic 40-footer at the first half buzzer banked in. Kurtis Rourke’s 2024 season at Indiana was already going down as the greatest by a quarterback in program history. But the lore grew on Friday after a report he may have chosen to play the entire season with a torn ACL. Reporting through Rourke’s agent Casey Muir, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network posted Friday on X that Rourke “will undergo ACL revision surgery Wednesday” and that “Rourke is believed to have re-torn his ACL in August.” Obviously any decision by Rourke to play through a torn ACL would have been made by him and medical advisors. In a game where both teams were playing without their leading scorers, IU’s superior balance prevailed. With its defense struggling, Indiana fell behind by seven midway through the first half.  But a 22-8 run going into halftime, and a 13-4 start to the second gave the Hoosiers breathing room.  The Scarlet Knights got to within six with 9:05 left, but never any closer as IU stretched the lead back out to double figures and held off Rutgers. BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana defeated Rutgers at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Thursday evening by a final score of 84-74. The Hoosiers led 41-34 at halftime.  They were led in the game by Myles Rice with 21 points.  Oumar Ballo added 17 and Mackenzie Mgbako had 16. Indiana forward Malik Reneau suffered a lower body injury very early in the first half against Rutgers on Thursday evening in Bloomington. He has been ruled out of the game. Reneau got a dunk off the opening tip, but just 29 seconds into the game he fell to the court along the Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall north baseline after apparently banging his knee while playing defense. The 6-foot-9 junior required attention from the training staff, but was helped to his feet, walked on his own, and appeared to leave the court without a significant limp. As Indiana looks to fill a void at right tackle, one prospect they’re trying to land lives in their own backyard. Indiana will have transferring Tennessee defensive back Christian Harrison on campus for a visit this weekend according to a report. He is the son of 15-year NFL veteran, two-time Super Bowl champion and a two-time Pro Bowler Rodney Harrison. Harrison played the hybrid safety role (Indiana’s rover) at Tennessee.  He should have two seasons of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot-1 and 191-pound Harrison has played in 24 career games with four starts.  He has totaled 29 tackles, three TFLs, half a sack and one pass breakup in his career.
