Depending on personnel groupings, Indiana can play three safeties at once — free, strong and rover.  And as of Thursday morning they only have five safeties projected on the 2025 roster.  So there is a clear need on the backend of the defense going forward, both for starters and depth. The Hoosiers do have 10 players at cornerback right now for 2025, and some of the roles are interchangeable, especially rover.  So there could be moves made from within to balance things out. Indiana has one starter returning at safety in 2025, and that player, Amare Ferrell, is very versatile. …

IU football has not seen a player selected in the NFL Draft for two years. That run of futility was preceded by them having at least one player selected every year from 2014-2022. It looks like a new streak will begin in 2025, as several Hoosiers have the potential to be chosen by an NFL franchise in April. ESPN’s Matt Miller projects as many as five IU players could be selected in next spring’s draft.  Here’s how Miller suggested that might go for the Hoosiers: Round 3: DE Mikail Kamara Round 4: QB Kurtis Rourke Round 6: DT CJ West…

Upton Sinclair wrote that “it is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” One-by-one they’ve lined up on the national airwaves and on social media, and took turns wasting your time with absurd takes. Captive to their masters at Disney, parent company of ESPN and ABC, (Read: Networks not part of the Big Ten’s media rights deal), we’ve heard one nauseating claim after another how an 11-1 team from the Big Ten wasn’t supposed to be in the 12-team College Football Playoff.
