ROSEMONT, Ill. — Indiana guard Trey Galloway said at Big Ten Media Day Thursday he expects to be a full participant at practice beginning next week. The 6-foot-5 fifth-year guard has been rehabbing from offseason knee surgery related to an injury suffered in March. Former IU basketball one-and-done guard Jalen Hood-Schifino is fully cleared after a spring injury, and he’s a full participant at the Los Angeles Lakers training camp. New Lakers head coach J.J. A second defensive back in IU football’s 2025 recruiting class is no longer verbally committed to Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers. The recruitment of 4-star Byron Baldwin has been reopened according to multiple reports. Baldwin verbally committed to the Hoosiers in April, when he pledged to them over Minnesota, Kentucky and others. He was the top-ranked player in IU’s 2025 class. The annual preseason Big Ten basketball media poll is out. The annual poll features at least one writer covering each Big Ten team. In this first year of the 18-team Big Ten, 33 media members participated in the poll. The group projects Purdue will repeat as league champions in 2025, with Indiana finishing second. Kyle Schwarber (2012-14) will play in his fifth-consecutive postseason while left-handed reliever Tim Herrin (2016-18) makes his playoffs debut.
