Saturday will mark the first career college start for Indiana redshirt sophomore quarterback Jack Tuttle. The 6-foot-4 Tuttle steps in for Michael Penix, Jr., who went down with a season ending torn ACL last weekend. Tuttle has seen action in six games at IU. In 2019 he made five appearances and completed 6-of-11 passes for 34 yards, and he ran 9 times for 20 yards. Down two seniors and coming off a bad loss to Texas, Indiana responded well in their final game in Asheville. The Hoosiers claimed third place at the 2020 Maui Invitational with a convincing 79-63 win over Stanford on Wednesday afternoon. Much like they did on Monday, IU was able to build an early lead and maintain it throughout. Indiana led by as many as 8 points in the first half and took a 31-26 edge into halftime.
