Indiana announced four players who will miss the 2024 season on their pregame availability report Saturday afternoon. Offensive lineman Nick Kidwell was previously reported.  Here are all four players out for the season: Nick Kidwell – OL Josh Philostin – DB Andrew DePaepe – DE Vince Fiacable – OL Kidwell is a seventh-year guard who was expected to start.  Fiacable might have been a contender to see snaps on the interior of the line in Kidwell’s absence. It was no secret the Indiana offense was ahead of the defense during spring practice. The bracket has been released for the 2024 women’s Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. The Indiana women’s basketball program will face Ivy League foe Columbia to open action on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Imperial Arena on Paradise Island. The game will tip at 1:30 p.m. ET and will air on FloHoops. The two teams will meet for the first time, with Baylor and Southern Miss waiting on the other side of the bracket. Much has been made of the fact that IU football head coach Curt Cignetti has never suffered a losing season. A couple of times he was close. Cignetti had a pair of 6-5 seasons — in 2014 with Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and 2018 with Elon — although in both cases winning records were clinched well before the end of the season. Class of 2025 5-star point guard Mikel Brown, Jr. has September official visits set to Indiana and Kentucky. Those visits were first reported by the Indiana 247Sports site and Kentucky On3 site, respectively. Brown’s father confirmed the Sept. 13-15 official visit to Indiana with The Daily Hoosier.  The Kentucky visit is Sept. 27-29. Eric Bossi of 247Sports is also reporting upcoming visits by Brown to Maryland, UCF and Arizona later in October and November.
