For the second summer in a row, Indiana appears to have an opening on its men’s basketball coaching staff. CBS college basketball reporter Jon Rothstein reported on his Twitter page that IU assistant coach Bruiser Flint is headed to Kentucky to become an assistant coach under John Calipari. “Sources: Indiana assistant Bruiser Flint will join John Calipari’s staff at Kentucky as an assistant coach. McCutcheon High School incoming sophomore and IU basketball recruiting target Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn answered a wide range of questions with host Aidan Kunst. Playing for the Lafayette, Ind. area program for the 2019-20 season, Gibbs-Lawhorn poured in 21 points per game while adding 3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and .9 steals per contest. Despite significant push back by the players, the Big Ten appears set to pull the plug on the 2020 fall football season. Radio Show host Dan Patrick reported on Monday morning that 12 of the 14 presidents from the Big 10 have voted against having a fall college football season. The pandemic made the normal Adidas Gauntlet national schedule for his Indiana Elite 2021 team impossible. Travel restrictions are in many ways defining Kaufman’s recruitment as well, as the Sellersburg, Ind. product enters his senior year of high school.
