On the other of end of many of McCulley’s big throws in 2019 was another power five talent on the Lawrence North High School football roster. Only a sophomore, wide receiver Omar Cooper, Jr. caught 53 passes for 1,024 yards and 13 touchdowns for his 2019 season. Lewis, now an assistant at UCLA, discusses the Bruins quick turnaround during the 2019-20 season and recounts some stories from his time in Bloomington. While reports around the country have not been favorable when it comes to testing returning athletes for COVID-19, the early news out of Bloomington is good. IU Athletics issued a release on Tuesday indicating that 187 athletes, coaches and staff have been tested for the virus thus far, with zero positive cases discovered.
