There is a growing sentiment that 6-foot-6, 285-pound Joshua Sales will be the next in-state recruiting target to commit to IU.  Sales is tabbed by the 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 69 offensive tackle in the class of 2021. Former IU football linebackers Tegray Scales and Chris Covington joined defensive coordinator Kane Wommack and head coach Tom Allen to discuss their time in Bloomington. Joining the roundtable were current players Micah McFadden, Thomas Allen and Marcelino Ball. Both Covington and Scales were instrumental to the turnaround of the IU defense in 2016 that coincided with the arrival of Tom Allen as defensive coordinator. A sign outside of the old Men’s Gymnasium on 7th Street tells his story. A towering statute in the south lobby of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall serves as a reminder of his larger than life significance. Now, an entire building, an iconic building in the history of IU basketball, will bear his name. IU President Michael McRobbie recommended to the school’s Board of Trustees on Friday that the facility formerly known as the Ira Wildermuth Intramural Center be renamed after iconic IU basketball legend Bill Garrett. The top in-state quarterback in the class of 2021 is staying home. Lawrence North High School quarterback Donaven McCulley announced that he has committed to play college football at Indiana. The 6-foot-5 Indianapolis product broke the news on his Twitter page on Thursday. https://twitter.com/DonavenMcculley/status/1271140404298219525?s=20 The 6-foot-5, 195-pound McCulley is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 12 dual-threat passer in the country and No. 3 prospect overall in the Hoosier State.  He is rated No. 317 by 247 and No. 210 by Rivals and McCulley is a 4-star recruit according to both services.
