One of Indiana’s top recruiting targets spoke extensively about his recruitment with Pat Lawless of Hoop Group. Trey Patterson is a 4-star recruit and the No. 38 player in the country in the class of 2021 according to the 247Sports Composite.  The 6-foot-8 wing took an official visit to Indiana in the fall. The Somerset, N.J. product averaged 19.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game for the 2019-20 season and was named first team All-State while leading Rutgers Prep to a 27-2 record. The Jordan Howard and Nate Sudfeld reunion in Philadelphia was a brief one. On the same day that Sudfeld signed a new deal to remain with the Eagles, it was reported that his former IU teammate Howard is moving on. A former first team All-Big Ten running back for Indiana, Howard’s Eagles career is over after just nine games.  The four year pro agreed Tuesday to terms of a two-year contract with the Miami Dolphins worth more than $10 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to terms with quarterback Nate Sudfeld on a one-year deal. Indiana’s all-time passing yards leader was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday. Sudfeld appears to be on-track to serve as the backup to starter Carson Wentz, and that is a role his head coach in Philadelphia said he felt good about for the former IU star. “We’re very comfortable with Nate,” Head Coach Doug Pederson said at the NFL Scouting Combine last month. “He’s put himself in position to compete and possibly be the No. 2.” Sudfeld served as the No. 3 quarterback…

On March 17 last year Indiana learned that it was not invited to the NCAA Tournament. This year on St. Patrick’s Day, there simply is no NCAA Tournament. Along with several other programs around the country, Indiana released its “One Shining Moment” video for the now canceled 2019-20 college basketball season. The David Barrett song has marked the conclusion of the national championship game for decades, and was first used by CBS in 1987.  The song was inspired when Barrett watched Larry Bird play in 1986.
