As Big Ten Tournament play begins, this is simply one the Hoosiers cannot afford to lose. Irrespective of where you think Indiana is as it relates to the NCAA Tournament, there can be no missteps against a reeling Nebraska program. The optics would simply be too damaging. The Hoosiers need to make it a three-game sweep of Nebraska in convincing fashion and move on to a Thursday…

A win at Purdue, Indiana’s eighth of the season, was soon followed by an invite to the prestigious Gator Bowl. IU had just completed a regular season that saw it reach the top 25 for the first time since 1994, and achieve its highest win total since 1993. Is this heaven? No, we would soon be reminded that this is still Bloomington. It wasn’t much later before a series of gut punches hit the program that felt much more familiar to Hoosier fans…

Nebraska will be without two of its best players when Indiana battles the Cornhuskers on Wednesday night. Guards Dachon Burke and Cam Mack, both starters, are Nebraska’s second and third leading scorers at 12.2 and 12.0 points per game, respectively. Mack leads the team in minutes played per game (34.8) along with assists (6.4) and turnovers (2.6), and he was second on the team with 4.5 rebounds per contest. Mack was named honorable mention…

It’s the gift that keeps on giving, year after miserable year whether the Hoosiers are Big Ten champions or just another team. Today we go back to the very beginning, to a legendary coach that didn’t want to see it…
