Kasey Teegardin’s tenure with the IU football program predates Tom Allen, and during the offseason his work with the Hoosiers was rewarded with a promotion. Allen promoted Teegardin to special teams coordinator on Jan. 19. He will also oversee the husky position after leading the safeties in 2018 and 2019. A Hoosiers defensive graduate assistant (2014-16) for three years and director of on-campus recruiting for one campaign (2017), Allen promoted Teegardin for the first time on March 2, 2018. Teegardin joined a teleconference to discuss the offseason and his plans with the special teams units. (Transcript via IU Athletics) Q:…

Under normal circumstances, this would be the time of year when up and coming players get the chance to shine in front of high major college basketball coaches. 6-foot-3 combo guard Julian Norris from Evansville, Ind. is already on the radar of top area programs, including Indiana. A closer look during AAU live periods is on hold, however. Norris drew high major attention last spring and summer with the Indiana Elite program that has produced several IU commitments recently. If there is an AAU season in 2020, Norris will play for the U16 Indiana Elite squad. Playing alongside Houston bound…
Indiana returns more defensive production in 2020 than any team in the Big Ten, and that is never a bad thing. It is impossible to know at this point just how much time college football teams will have to prepare for the upcoming season. Of course we don’t know sitting here if there will even be a season. But assuming Indiana kicks off their 2020 campaign as scheduled on Sept. 4 in Madison, the Hoosier defense should arrive at Camp…

Already active on the social media platform, Allen stepped it up on Friday night. He enthusiastically live-tweeted a rewatch of Indiana’s 2018 win over Virginia in a rain soaked Memorial Stadium in…

Q: Is there a silver lining to being with your family this time of year and having time to prepare for the season? HILLER: I would say the answer to that is yes in…
