Growth and development happens in the offseason, in individual workouts and permitted organized team activities. The Bloomington based Leal has given multiple interviews since winning the prestigious honor that recognizes the state’s best high school basketball player. The IU women’s basketball program saw a wave of transfers leave the program over the last couple months. In late January Indiana announced that guards Bendu Yeaney and Shaila Beeler were transferring. Last week, 2019 Miss Basketball Jorie Allen entered the transfer portal. Trey Patterson is a 4-star recruit and the No. 38 player in the country in the class of 2021 according to the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-8 wing took an official visit to Indiana in the fall.
