Indiana football tight end Peyton Hendershot was arrested on multiple charges on Saturday night. According to a Bloomington Police Report, Hendershot was booked on charges including misdemeanor domestic battery, felony residential entry, criminal mischief and criminal conversion. Hendershot, a former Tri-West standout from North Salem, Ind. also was booked into Monroe County Jail on Saturday night, with bond set at $2,000. Indiana released a statement Sunday acknowledging the charges against Hendershot: “IU Athletics will continue to gather facts, cooperate with and monitor the legal and administrative processes and take further action as the evolving situation warrants.” Hendershot earned third-team All-Big…

In a few months a lifelong dream will be realized. But that can wait. Bloomington South senior guard Anthony Leal is singularly focused right now. While IU is in the final weeks of the regular season and focused making the NCAA Tournament, the coaching staff can never stop thinking about “who’s next” on the roster. The Hoosiers have openings to fill prospectively, and head coach Archie Miller and others have been spotted out on the recruiting trail in recent weeks whenever an opportunity presents itself. IU basketball class of 2020 signee Trey Galloway has put together a big senior season at The Culver Academies in northern Indiana. For the season Galloway is averaging 22.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.2 steals per contest while shooting 52% from the field overall and 23% from three-point range.  On the season, Culver is 14-4 overall, including a 14-1 mark in games that Galloway played.  The 6-foot-4 guard missed three games due to a wrist injury. Indiana’s NCAA Tournament resume just got a big shot in the arm. Just as important, a team may have just realized what they are capable of when they buy-in and play with unquestioned effort. The Hoosiers claimed just their second true road victory of the season with a convincing 68-56 win over Minnesota on Wednesday night.  Qualifying as a quadrant one victory under the NCAA’s NET system, the Hoosiers significantly bolstered their postseason profile.
