Indiana head coach Archie Miller met with the media on Friday afternoon to discuss Saturday’s game against Wisconsin. Tomorrow will be the final home game for seniors De’Ron Davis and Devonte Green.  Both players took questions after Miller. The Hoosiers (19-11, 9-10) will host Wisconsin at Noon ET on Saturday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind.  Green and Davis will speak to the crowd after the game. Finally some good offseason news for the Indiana football program.  And it is a reversal of bad news. Sampson James’ stay in the transfer portal didn’t last long. As permitted under the NCAA’s system for facilitating transfers, multiple reports have indicated that James will remain with the IU football program. Playing in a reserve role behind starter Stevie Scott, the 6-foot-1 and 220 pound James carried the ball 81 times for 275 yards (3.4 ypc) and three touchdowns for the 2019 season.  James also caught two passes for 21 yards. The progression has been exactly what you’d want to see for a program on the rise. NIT Championship, NCAA second round, and now, program records are falling.  The Indiana women’s basketball team recorded a best ever 13th win in Big Ten play and tied the record for total wins in a season (23) with their regular season ending win over Michigan on Sunday. Indiana was in survive and advance mode on Wednesday night against Minnesota, and the mission was accomplished. In what felt like a must win game in many respects when it came to IU’s NCAA Tournament aspirations, the Hoosiers found a way with a 72-67 win at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
