Aiming to end decades of frustration against Michigan, Indiana came out firing on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium. As they jumped out to leads of 7-0 and 14-7, it looked like IU was ready to go 15 rounds with their nemesis to the north. But in the end, the Wolverines had more bullets. A lot more as it turned out. After the Hoosiers took a seven point lead for the second time early in the second quarter on a quarterback Peyton Ramsey one yard run, Michigan brought out the big guns — and set them on rapid fire. When the…

It is the last home game for sixteen Indiana seniors, and it has been a memorable final campaign. Bowl eligible and having already clinched their first winning season in more than a decade, now the Hoosiers set their sights on obstacles that have stood in their way for a generation. A win on Saturday would secure Indiana’s first eight win season since 1993, and the first victory against Michigan since 1987. But IU isn’t the only team in this matchup that has seemingly turned a corner. The Wolverines arrive in Bloomington red hot, outscoring their opponents 141-38 over the last…

It’s okay to admit it — missing out on Dawson Garcia was a major disappointment. The top 40 forward seemed to be a really good fit for Archie Miller’s scheme and a nice final piece of the 2020 puzzle. But it’s not okay to dwell. It’s time to move on. Of course Indiana’s coaches are well ahead of us. As it stands right now, IU has one open scholarship on its 2020-21 roster, and the Hoosiers staff never sleeps when it comes to the constant job of recruiting. With three 2020 commits falling under the shooting guard/wing description, the needs…

Playing with all four scholarship guards for the first time this season, at least for a while, Indiana was able to use a dominant second half to surge past Princeton on Wednesday night in Bloomington for a 79-54 win. Although the Tigers were Indiana’s toughest competition to date, the Ivy League opponent was still a major step below what they will face throughout the final 24 games of the season. IU needed to be perfect through their first seven games, and so far they are getting that done in fairly convincing fashion when considering the backcourt injury challenges that the…
