The latest incoming high school junior to receive a scholarship offer from IU is Somerset, New Jersey based prospect Trey Patterson. The class of 2020 commitments are rolling in for Indiana — and they are coming from all over the country. Tampa, Fla. area defensive back Aamaris Brown verbally committed to IU today, becoming the ninth overall commit in the 2020 class, and the third in the last two days for the Hoosiers. Brown’s decision comes after recruiting targets from Michigan and Georgia committed to Indiana yesterday. One of the greats of the IU basketball program has achieved one of his school’s highest honors. Sadly, the announcement comes just sixth months after his passing. Macon, Georgia native Dexter Williams, Jr. has committed to IU, becoming the eighth commit in the class and the second this weekend. Score another win for Indiana in Big Ten enemy territory as the Hoosiers land a package deal from Detroit. After four-star receiver Rashawn Williams committed to Indiana back in April, his former high school teammate Lemuel Neeley-Watley has decided to join him in Bloomington. Make no mistake about it, class of 2021 Evansville point guard Khristian Lander is the top recruiting target on the IU basketball board, irrespective of the class. The 6-foot-3 Lander averaged 22 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.2 steals per game as a sophomore at F.J. Reitz High School.  He shot 37% from the three-point range and 79% from the foul line.
