The Daily Hoosier attended Saturday’s Archie Miller team camp at Assembly Hall and Cook Hall. For those that are not aware, team camps are events put on by college programs that allow several high school teams to come to campus and play against one another in front of the coaches and staff. As a McDonald’s All-American, Landon Turner had over 300 letters from colleges all over the country.  The Indianapolis Tech High School product could go just about anywhere he wanted — or so he thought. Of course one of the interested schools was Indiana. Turner had heard the rumors about Bob Knight cussing players out and more.  He vividly remembers a photo in the Indianapolis Star of Knight grabbing Jim Wisman by the jersey. Class of 2021 shooting guard Terrence Clarke is having a big spring playing up a year on the Nike EYBL. After averaging 17 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game for the Expressions Elite, the 6-foot-7 Clarke has become the No. 2 class of 2021 recruiting prospect nationally according to both 247Sports and Rivals. Clarke is from Boston and attends Brewster Academy.  He will be teammates there with fellow IU recruiting target Matt Cross. It wasn’t the way OG Anunoby likely imagined, but the former Hoosier is an NBA Champion. The Toronto Raptors clinched the championship in six games on Thursday night over the Golden State Warriors, and in the process, Anunoby became the 7th former Indiana University basketball player to win an NBA Finals. https://twitter.com/ProBallHoosiers/status/1139385378605899776 While Anunoby was a key part of the 2018-19 Raptors’ season, he almost missed their entire playoff run. Chalk up the first Indiana basketball offer for the recruiting class of 2022. Based on a report, IU has offered one of the top incoming sophomores in the country in Gary West Side forward Jalen Washington. https://twitter.com/seansmith35/status/1139283102361108480 Based on another report, the offer came at Indiana’s team camp last weekend.  Purdue has also offered Washington after he participated in their team camp this week.
