Cody Zeller came back to Bloomington on Tuesday to take a look at the new locker room at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall and the new player lounge that bears his name. It’s better late than never. The 6-foot-11 center chose Butler over IU and others way back in 2015 before his senior year of high school.  He was rated as a 4-star recruit in the class of 2016. It’s not as if they are burning a hole in his pocket, but Indiana head basketball coach Archie Miller is entering the home stretch of the class of 2019 recruiting period with three open scholarships on his 2019-20 roster. And he has been quite active as he attempts to fill the gaps. With the 2018-19 season now several weeks into the rear view mirror, Miller and his staff have been pursuing multiple options as they attempt to round out next season’s team. Indiana senior guard Devonte Green has decided to declare for the NBA Draft. The news was first reported by Ben Stinar of Amico Hoops and retweeted by Green: Green does not currently appear on any NBA Draft projections, and is likely utilizing the early entry process to obtain feedback that he can incorporate into his senior season at Indiana. The North Babylon, New York native played in 28 games during the 2018-19 season, starting nine times.  Green was third on the team in scoring at 9.4 points per game and he led Indiana shooting the ball from three point range…

Indiana University Athletics Director Fred Glass has announced that Indiana Football will return player last names to the back of their jerseys. The program had removed names from the jerseys last year to follow the lead of all IU’s other varsity sports and IU’s Brand and Uniform Guidelines. He isn’t going to be sneaking up on anyone in 2019. In fact, Stevie Scott doesn’t want to catch you off guard this year.  Rather, he wants you to know he’s coming. Go ahead and stop him if you can. Familiar names continue to surface in the class of 2019 for Indiana. The Hoosiers were once thought to be a legitimate contender for class of 2019 4-star guard Anthony Harris.  IU never got the traction with Harris that they hoped for and he ultimately committed to play for Buzz Williams at Virginia Tech. With Williams’ recent move to Texas A&M, Harris asked for and received his release from the Hokies. Now Archie Miller is giving it another go. Another spring is in the books for the Indiana football program.  The Cream defeated the Crimson 48-33 at the annual spring game on Friday night at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.  Here are our three takeaways, spring awards announced by the program, and several in-game videos. 1. Peyton Ramsey was looking down field. It is way too early to make bold proclamations about the Kalen DeBoer era, but the spring game did seem to highlight an emphasis on pushing the ball down field.  That would be a welcome change, as a common frustration with the Mike DeBord reign as offensive coordinator…
