Based on a quick survey of the slate, here are four quick reactions to Archie Miller’s third season in Bloomington, and a first prediction for how it might play out. Head coach Tom Allen took questions today from reporters. The Indiana University men’s basketball program has made the hiring of assistant coach Mike Roberts official. The following release is from Indiana University. Mike Roberts Named Assistant Basketball Coach at Indiana University Indiana University men’s basketball coach Archie Miller has announced the addition of former Hoosier Mike Roberts to his coaching staff.  Roberts, a native of Terre Haute, comes to IU after spending the last eight seasons as Associate Head Coach at UNC Greensboro. “Mike is someone who I think can have a great impact on our program,” said Miller.  He has played an important role in establishing a championship…

Although not confirmed yet by the school as of this writing, all indications are that IU basketball will hire former player Mike Roberts as an assistant coach. Former IU guard Tom Coverdale joined Indiana Sports Beat to discuss his friend and former teammate. If emotions were the only criteria, the 2007 IU football season would surely vault to the top of this list.  To properly tell the story, you have to go back a few years.
