On this date Indiana won 3 of its 5 national titles and a Final Four game. The wave of transfers across college basketball has struck at Indiana. In an unsurprising move, sophomore forward Clifton Moore will seek an opportunity elsewhere after playing two seasons with the Hoosiers. KYLE SCHWARBER Of course there was no doubt that Schwarber would be on the Cubs opening day roster. He started the season going 1-for-3 with a double in a Chicago win. Schwarber had a productive spring training, hitting .311 with a .429 on base percentage. For his career Schwarber is hitting .229 with 72 home runs and 163 runs batted in. And just like that, it’s over. After Romeo Langford committed to Indiana in April and Juwan Morgan decided to return in May, no one was predicting this: No 20 win season No NCAA Tournament And yet here we are, and that is exactly what happened. That’s a far cry from a range of expectations that went so far as to put Indiana in the national title discussion. One of the more bizarre and frustrating seasons in recent IU basketball history has come to an end….and some would say mercifully. We’ve discussed what went wrong ad nauseam. There is no sense…
This story was originally published on Senior Day and has been updated with Juwan Morgan’s final statistics at Indiana. There were times during his freshman season when it seemed like he would never make it. One agonizing shoulder separation after another made it nearly impossible for Juwan Morgan to get through a game, let alone a four year career. From shoulder surgery, to a coaching change and a transformed game, much has changed for the Waynesville, Missouri native since those early days of perseverance that endeared him to Hoosier fans. Today we take a look back at some of the…

Indiana lost to Wichita State on Tuesday night in NIT quarterfinal action. The loss concludes Indiana’s season. The Hoosiers finish the 2018-19 campaign with a 19-16 record. THREE KEYS TO THE GAME 1. Meet the new problem. Same as the old problem. It is only fitting that the season ends with a game where Indiana shot below 40% from the field. After the game head coach Archie Miller referred to perimeter shooting as the number one thing that prevented this team from getting over the hump this year. At 38.5% overall, 33.3% from long range and 53.8% from the foul…
Indiana has found the first of multiple new walk-ons that are likely to join the men’s basketball roster for the 2019-20 season. With Zach McRoberts, Johnny Jager and Quentin Taylor all moving on after this season, the Hoosiers have open spots to bring in new valuable contributors to the program. Zionsville, Ind. native Nathan Childress will be joining the IU team as a preferred walk-on next season, and he will be bringing with him a game that has seen major strides over the last few years. And with that growth came a change in plans. Listed at 6-foot-6 and 205…
