Indiana University head basketball coach Archie Miller met with the media on Monday afternoon in advance of Tuesday’s NIT quarterfinal match-up against Wichita State. IU players Juwan Morgan and Devonte Green joined the session after Miller. The Hoosiers (19-15) and Shockers tip-off on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. eastern in Bloomington.  The game will be aired on ESPN. The seven game postseason winning streak has come to an end. The IU women’s basketball team lost to Oregon 91-68 on Sunday night in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.  The loss snaps a postseason run of success that extended back to last year’s WNIT Championship. Playing on Oregon’s home court, the Ducks size and dynamic offensive attack was too much on this night. Oregon shot 52% from the field on 22 assists while outrebounding IU 41-27.  Sabrina Ionescu had a triple double for Oregon with 29 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. It will be Hoosiers vs. Shockers on Tuesday night with a chance to play at New York’s famous Madison Square Garden on the line. Wichita State (21-14) defeated Clemson 63-55 on Sunday afternoon and will now travel to Bloomington to play IU on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Eastern.  The game will be broadcast on ESPN. Indiana targets competing in the finals were class of 2020 Trey Galloway (Culver) and class of 2021 Trey Kaufman (Silver Creek) in the 3A finals, and class of 2021 Caleb Furst (Fort Wayne Blackhawk) in the 1A finals. The legend grows. When it comes to the breaststroke, there is only one name you need to know. Indiana senior Lilly King has won every breaststroke event at the NCAA Championships over the last four years. First it was a record shattering Friday night four-peat in the 100 breaststroke. In the final 100 breaststroke event of her collegiate career, King captured the NCAA title with the fastest time in history. The Evansville, Ind. native posted an American record time of 55.73. Indiana defeated Arkansas 63-60 in a second round NIT contest in Bloomington on Saturday. The Hoosiers (19-15) will play a third round game on Tuesday against either Wichita State or Clemson. THREE KEYS TO THE GAME 1. Indiana’s size overwhelms the Razorbacks. Before their mid-November road trip to Fayetteville, the sky seemed to be the limit for Indiana. At 3-0 and coming off an impressive blowout win over Marquette, the NIT was the last thing on the minds of Hoosier fans. IU was a sure thing, or so we thought.
