Relatively speaking, it isn’t all that often that a true freshman sees the field for significant playing time at the highest levels of college football. Of course it happens, but for an 18 year old kid just out of high school to compete with mostly 20 to 22 year old men, the talent level has to be pretty high. Three games into his senior year of high school, Stevie Scott seemed a long way from being one of the top running backs in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision.
