This is where it all started. Not even three weeks ago, Indiana basketball was on top of the world, or at least seemingly on its way there.  The Hoosiers stood at 12-2 overall, and 3-0 in league play.  Bring on undefeated Michigan, right? Not so much.  Michigan won that game in Ann Arbor 74-63, and from more losses, to more injuries, to a suspension, nothing has gone right since. It’s a long drop from the top of the world, and this Indiana team is rapidly spiraling to that metaphorical bottom. Losers of five in a row since that early January…

Legendary Indiana basketball radio voice Don Fischer isn’t exactly impartial when it comes to the Hoosiers.  He isn’t thought of as a harsh critic either.  That’s why when he said this on Monday on the Dan Dakich Show, our ears perked up — “My biggest concern with this team right now is they don’t have an edge.  There’s gotta be a fire in your gut.  There’s gotta be an ability to go out there and be excited to play the game.  I’m talking about the fire in the belly, the want to compete, the want to go out there and…

This season.  What can you say? It is truly becoming difficult for Indiana fans to wrap their minds around the seemingly continuous roster news and now accompanying five game losing streak that collectively appear on track to destroy a once promising season. The torture quotient was taken to the next level on Tuesday night against the Wildcats, as a seldom used Northwestern reserve torched the Hoosiers and completely changed the direction of the game.  After scoring just six points all year, forward Aaron Falzon came off the bench and scored 21 points for Northwestern. Before the game even started, junior…
