Indiana has offered another top prospect in the class of 2020 in Michigan native Isaiah Jackson.  The 6-foot-9 forward announced the offer today via Twitter: https://twitter.com/IJackson22/status/1024381679761350656 According to the 247Sports Composite, Jackson is 17th ranked player in the class of 2020, and the top recruit in the state of Michigan.  He has received offers from Michigan State, Louisville, UConn, and many others according to the recruiting service. The July college basketball recruiting live periods have come and gone.  For member of the class of 2019, their AAU careers have come to an end.  It’s time to get serious. Lists will be trimmed, visits will be scheduled, and decisions will be made.  With busy travel schedules and basketball tournaments now largely behind them, high-major recruiting targets are finally able to sit back and contemplate their futures with their families with much less distraction. The Indiana University men’s basketball program continues to extend offers in the class of 2020.  The latest to be offered by IU is Missouri point guard Caleb Love.  He announced the IU offer via Twitter on Sunday: https://twitter.com/caleb2love/status/1023697063253553153 Love is the second point guard that the Hoosiers have offered in the class, following Ethan Morton out of Pennsylvania.  If IU ends up not obtaining a point guard commitment in the class of 2019, the position will almost certainly be highly emphasized in 2020. Former Indiana stars Jordan Hulls, Will Sheehey and Christian Watford are competing for a piece of a $2 million prize in The Basketball Tournament.  This year’s edition marks the fifth for the winner-take-all event. The former Hoosier duo of Hulls and Sheehey plays for Armored Athlete.  They’ll face off Saturday against Boeheim’s Army, a group of former Syracuse players.  The matchup is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. in Atlanta. Former Indiana Hoosiers in the NBA continue to find new homes as training camp rosters take shape in preparation for the 2018-19 season. Last week saw point guard Yogi Ferrell emerge from a whirlwind as a Sacramento King.  Now, two more Hoosiers have found new teams after being released.  Along with Thomas Bryant’s move to the Washington Wizards, that now makes four of the eight former Hoosiers in the NBA that will be with a new team.
