Did you hear that?  Followed by what felt like an audible sigh of relief, Romeo Langford let it be known that he would announce his college decision on April 30th (Monday) at 7:00 PM at the New Albany High School gymnasium.  The seemingly never ending decision between Indiana, Kansas and Vanderbilt will finally be announced. The news was first made public through Evan Daniels of 247 Sports. https://twitter.com/EvanDaniels/status/984141635360403456 Daniels’ tweet didn’t address the key piece of information in the minds of most people who have followed Langford’s recruitment closely — where would he announce, and would the announcement be open…

Dawkins had this to say about his decision to join the Hoosiers: “I didn’t see a better fit for…

For a season that wasn’t up to Indiana University basketball standards, there were a few shining moments that Archie Miller’s first year at IU will be remembered for.  One will most certainly be the quit-the-game, to walk-on, to starter progression of Zach McRoberts.  Get that guy a scholarship. Another will be the in-season transformation into a team that learned how to play some defense.  The Hoosiers went from complete embarrassment against Indiana State and Fort Wayne, to some really impressive games where they were able to lock teams down.  No one embodied that change more than senior Robert Johnson. But perhaps…

A little over a week ago we updated you with a list of names that Indiana has been pursuing and watching in connection with the class of 2018.  As the grad transfer market continues to evolve, so does the last of potential candidates to wear the cream and crimson in November. With new names continuing to emerge, the implication would seem to be that IU isn’t comfortable with Romeo Langford’s decision that is coming in a few weeks.  With two open scholarships however, it would still be possible to sign Langford and one additional class of 2018 target.  Of course…

With Spring practice ongoing, it is still too early for firm predictions on the 2018 college football season.  Nevertheless, ESPN has come out with their first Football Power Index rankings and win total predictions for the season. ESPN describes the FPI as follows:  “The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. As we have previously written, while Indiana’s 2018 recruiting class is solid and possibly great, it is the 2019 class that will really determine the trajectory of the program under Archie Miller.  High level college basketball recruiting is a never ending process of reloading top talent.  Miss on a class or two, and the results will be felt for years to come. Archie Miller and his staff need to come up the formula that makes IU a destination program that produces top 20 recruiting classes year in and year out.  If that doesn’t happen, all of the coaching talent in…

It is the conventional wisdom.  When a program loses not one but two of its all-time great players to graduation, it is time to think about rebuilding rather than reloading.  Just how important were Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill to the Indiana University women’s basketball program?  Take a look at these career profiles published on Twitter by the team: That is legendary, IU Hall of Fame stuff.  But as great as the duo was for the program, it would be a shame if their legend started and stopped with their actual playing careers.  Both players came to IU when it…
