GAME NOTES:  The #17 Ohio State Buckeyes (18-5, 9-1) host the Indiana Hoosiers (12-10, 5-5) at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.  The tip-off is set for 7:00 PM on Tuesday and the game will be broadcast on ESPN2 with Dave Flemming and Dan Dakich on the call.  Indiana is coming off a 74-67 loss against Purdue on Sunday, while Ohio State is coming off an 82-79 loss to Penn State on Thursday. It was a game that felt eerily similar to the Duke contest back in November, with Indiana hanging with a top 5 team virtually wire to wire only to melt down at the end.  There are no moral victories at a program like Indiana and in a conference like the Big Ten.  The Hoosiers simply need to finish better.  IU actually ran out to an early 10 point lead in this one, but in the end Purdue had more reliable scoring options and made fewer mistakes down the stretch.  There will be no time to sulk, as Indiana is back…

Indiana basketball 2018 recruiting target Romeo Langford had two games over the weekend, both New Albany wins.  On Friday night the Bulldogs dominated Evansville North 112-43.  Langford scored 38 points on the night. On Saturday New Albany again rolled, this time taking down Jasper 87-44.  Langford again scored 38 points on the night.  New Albany (15-1), who is ranked No. 3 in Class 4A, won their 12th straight game. Langford would need to average 41.9 points over his remaining games and have his team reach the state finals in order to surpass Damon Bailey and become the state’s all-time leading scorer. …
