Indiana continues to put some definition around its recruiting class of 2020.  The Hoosiers have reportedly offered 4-star target Andre Jackson: https://twitter.com/PatLawless_/status/1020748857389592576 Various recruiting services list Jackson as either a small forward or shooting guard.  At 6-foot-6, he has the length to play in the front court, while also exhibiting the necessary skills to play the two-guard. It has been an interesting couple of weeks on the Yogi Ferrell NBA news front. First Dallas had rescinded their $2.9 million qualifying offer to Ferrell two weeks ago, making him an unrestricted free agent.  That announcement came with wide speculation that the qualifying offer was “a placeholder” as the team worked to re-sign Ferrell. Indiana University football wide receiver Nick Westbrook had a huge 2016 season.  Despite missing virtually the entire 2017 season, his performance has not been lost on the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, which released this year’s preseason watch list for the Biletnikoff Award. Westbrook was one of three Big Ten Conference receivers that were included on the 2018 Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list that was released on Thursday.  The other two Big Ten receivers are both from Nebraska — Stanley Morgan, Jr. and JD Spielman. The Florida native caught 54 passes for 995 yards and six touchdowns in 2016.  He led the team…

New Indiana baseball coach Jeff Mercer has made a major addition to the IU baseball staff naming former MLB All-Star Scott Rolen as the Director of Player Development.  Rolen was a seven time National League All-Star.  Rolen’s MLB career spanned from 1996 to 2012 and he played for Philadelphia, St. Louis, Toronto and Cincinnati.  He was a career .281 hitter with 316 home runs. Sports press conferences are notoriously void of any real substance.  You can usually anticipate the “we just need to take it one game at a time” before the words are uttered.
