Ready or not, the Big Ten tournament tips-off today at 5:30 PM ET at Madison Square Garden. For Indiana, the objective seems clear — run the table — or wind up in the NIT. What a difference six weeks can make. On January 16, Indiana let a fourth quarter lead slip away on the road and lost to No. 14 Maryland 74-70. The loss left the struggling Hoosiers with an 8-12 overall record and a 1-6 mark in Big Ten play. Any thoughts of playing in the postseason seemed more fantasy than anything based in reality. The schedule wasn’t ready to let up after that tough loss the Terrapins. The Hoosiers would have to go back out on the road and face a Michigan State team that had defeated IU in Bloomington only a…

Various other stories have broken since, including some with Indiana connections. Take a look at the news that has broken thus far with an Indiana link: JARED JEFFRIES At this point, Jeffries’ name simply appeared on a piece of paper showing that he took a $4,827.77 loan from his agent Andy Miller. It isn’t clear…
Well, if you thought it couldn’t possibly get harder than the Duke, Purdue and Michigan State losses, how does a double overtime loss to Top 20 Ohio State on Senior Night sound? Sigh. The Hoosiers certainly had their chances in this one, and even went so far as to hit what looked like the game winning shot as Juwan Morgan scored to give IU a one point lead with under 10 seconds remaining. But Ohio State had an answer and broke the Hoosiers’ hearts with a 3-point dagger. The Buckeyes win it, 80-78 in front of yet another bad showing in…
