The Indiana University football season will kickoff on September 1, 2018 at Florida International and conclude on November 24 at home against Purdue.  The Hoosiers will play a total of seven home games at Memorial Stadium, and nine Big Ten conference games.  This will be Tom Allen’s second full season at the helm of the IU program. Indiana is starting to cast a wider net for its 2019 class as the spring live evaluation period rolls on.  After focusing its early 2019 efforts on the front court, the Hoosiers have pivoted lately to the back court.  It continued that trend on Thursday, extending offers to two extremely athletic and talented point/combo guards. Indiana University head basketball coach Archie Miller has said that it is a program imperative to recruit and secure the top talent in the state of Indiana.  While he had some familiarity with the Hoosier state prior to becoming the IU head coach, he has relied on others, including assistant coach Ed Schilling to make inroads. The 2018 NFL Draft will be held in Dallas from April 26 through April 28. There are seven rounds and 256 selections in the draft.  You can see the complete draft order here. Several former IU players will either be drafted or signed as free agents this year.  Indiana has never had more than three players selected in the first seven rounds of the NFL draft.  This year it is possible that they will have more than three players drafted, although a few are on the fence.  Yesterday we looked at the five former players that were invited to the NFL Draft Combine last month…

The anticipation is growing with just five days remaining before Romeo Langford, the highest rated undecided member of the class of 2018, announces his decision between Indiana, Kansas and Vanderbilt.  The announcement is scheduled for Monday, April 30 at 7:00 PM at the New Albany High School gym.  The announcement is open to the public and the doors open at 6:00 PM. Indiana’s all-time leading scorer will have the opportunity to make a WNBA roster.  The former Hoosier star has signed a free agent training camp contract with the Connecticut Sun. Connecticut Sun Head Coach Curt Miller was previously the Head Coach at Indiana and successfully recruited Buss to play for IU.  He left prior to her freshman season. The 2017-18 NBA season has ended for five of the eight former Indiana Hoosiers that registered statistics in the league this year.  Today marks the fifth in a series of more in depth reviews of their respective seasons as we discuss former Hoosier big man Cody Zeller.
