Game Notes:  The Northwestern Wildcats (11-7, 2-3) travel to Bloomington to face the Indiana Hoosiers (10-7, 3-2) at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.  Tip-off is set for Sunday afternoon at 4:30 EST.  The game will be broadcast on CBS with Spero Dedes and Clark Kellogg on the call. Indiana leads the all-time series 115-51.  The schools split last year’s matchups.  Northwestern won 68-55 in Evanston, and the Hoosiers won 63-62 in Bloomington.  Wildcat Head Coach Chris Collins is in his 5th year leading the Northwestern program.  He has a 3-4 all-time record against Indiana. Few people think of “golden eras” of Indiana University football, but the 1940’s under the leadership of head coach Bo McMillin might just be the closest the Hoosiers have come to such a period.  Today we look back at the Hall of Famer on the 121st anniversary of his birth. Alvin Nugent “Bo” McMillin was born in Prairie Hill, Limestone County, Texas, on January 12, 1895.  His family moved in 1897 to Waco and in 1901 to Fort Worth, where McMillin’s father worked for a meat-packing firm. Roof Transfers to IU T.D. Roof, a 5-11, 215 pound linebacker is transferring from Georgia Tech to Indiana.  As a true freshman, Roof played in 11 games for the Yellow Jackets. Indiana University has released a statement making it official that De’Ron Davis is out for the season after undergoing surgery for a torn achilles tendon: You can see our analysis published last week of how the injury would likely impact the Indiana roster and gameplan going forward.  Thus far things have largely played out as anticipated, with an expanded role for Justin Smith and Juwan Morgan moving his game out to the perimeter at times.
