After an early end to a disappointing 2017-18 season, it is the biggest Indiana University men’s basketball story going.  With an announcement not expected until mid to late April, the anticipation and excitement regarding the college choice of New Albany, Indiana product and IU recruiting target Romeo Langford is reaching mass (Hoosier) hysteria. Langford is dealing with his own disappointment, as the New Albany Bulldogs lost in the semi-state round of the Indiana boys high school basketball tournament to Warren Central, ending their pursuit of a second title in 3 years.  For Langford, it was the end to an electrifying…

We couldn’t help but notice something strange when the Women’s NCAA Tournament Committee released its “last 8 under consideration” a couple weeks ago.  Despite sweeping the home and home series with Purdue, and having a higher RPI and strength of schedule than the Boilers, Indiana was left out of the “last 8” while Purdue was included. For two teams that clearly had similar NCAA tournament profiles, the season sweep should have been enough to put the Hoosiers ahead of Purdue.  Indiana controlled both games and was clearly the better of the two teams this year.  The NCAA oversight felt like…

It has been a long and winding journey for Ryan Taylor.  From Crown Point High School to Michigan City High School to St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy to Ohio University to the University of Evansville.  That was just over the last 6 years — and the adventure is about to take a new turn as Taylor has announced his intent to transfer from Evansville. Evansville’s media guide lists the 6-6, 195 lb Taylor’s hometown as Gary, Indiana.  We’d suggest that perhaps Taylor is still searching for a place to call home.  Like everyone playing high level college basketball, Taylor is plotting…

IU got a balanced attack on the day with five different players in double figures.  Senior…

It is mid-March and the Indiana University men’s basketball team has been in offseason mode for two weeks now.  Okay, technically only a week, since they officially learned that they did not receive an invite to the NIT last Sunday night.  But unofficially we all knew that the Hoosiers were done. At the risk of sounding disingenuous, it was probably just as well that the season mercifully came to end.  At best, the Hoosiers were going to the NIT.  At the very best, they might have been able to secure a home game or two in the NIT with a…

Congrats @WarriorNation_1 and @TheRealDBell_ ! See…

Collin Hartman has been a Hoosier for a long time.  The Indiana fan favorite committed to play for IU back in 2010 when he was a sophomore at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis.  Even before then he had visions of wearing the candy stripes to live out the dreams of his family.  It’s been a roller coaster ride since then, with declining recruiting rankings, injuries, stellar sophomore and junior seasons, injuries, and more injuries.  Did we mention the injuries? Ever since Hartman’s eye opening sophomore year, when Indiana fans were first able to get to know and appreciate Collin the person…
