They’ve expanded their prospects with an offer to Chris Cenac, Jr..  He announced the offer on his X account. The 6-foot-10 Cenac averaged 13.9 points 10.2 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks this season at Isadore Newman H.S. in New Orleans, La. Isiah Thomas sees a connection involving the IU basketball dynasty of the 1970s and 80s, and the Golden State Warriors NBA dynasty of the last decade. The former star point guard for the Hoosiers revealed it to one of the Warriors on his podcast. “The offense that you run, I played for the guy who invented it,” Thomas said on The Draymond Green Show. “His name was Bob Knight. When Byron Baldwin committed to IU just over a month ago, he didn’t appear in any of the national rankings. But when 247Sports’ 2025 college football recruiting rankings updated Wednesday, he became one of a number of “players on the rise.” How far? From unranked, to a 4-star and one of the overall top-250 players in the class according to that outlet. The massive bump makes Baldwin the highest rated player in Indiana’s 2025 class.  The still developing eight-player class is currently ranked 34th nationally at 247Sports. The Daily Hoosier caught up with New Jersey-based class of 2025 guard Darius Adams at the Westfield, Ind. Nike EYBL stop over the weekend. IU offered the consensus top-25 prospect last summer.  He transferred to La Lumiere in LaPorte, Ind. for his junior season. The Indiana staff had eyes on Adams for multiple games over the weekend. IU baseball can eliminate all doubt this week in Omaha. Firmly on the bubble, the Hoosiers can win the Big Ten Tournament at Charles Schwab Field and earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Former IU sharpshooter Sara Scalia announced on Wednesday morning she’ll extend her playing career overseas. The Minnesota product will play in Italy for Magnolia Campobasso for the 2024-25 season.  Scalia broke the news on her X account. It was worth the wait. After being delayed several hours by weather in the Omaha area, Indiana jumped out to an 8-1 lead against rival Purdue and held on for an opening round win at the 2024 Big Ten Baseball Tournament. Indiana has been involved with the 6-foot-5 McKenney for more than two years at this point, offering him in 2022. According to the On3 Industry Average, McKenney is a 5-star in the class of 2025, and the No. 12 overall player. In one respect, Trayce Jackson-Davis proved a lot of people wrong this season. In another, more fuel has been added to his fire. Jackson-Davis, who famously posted “Y’all will regret it, I promise” when he fell to the 57th overall pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, easily outplayed his draft position as a rookie.
