Indiana center Kel’el Ware is entering the 2024 NBA Draft, he announced on his Instagram page Tuesday morning. It hasn’t been a good couple of weeks for high major college basketball coaches hired direct from the NBA. Michigan’s Juwan Howard?  Fired. Vanderbilt’s Jerry Stackhouse?  Fired. After a one-year stop in Bloomington, Payton Sparks is set to reunite with former IU guard Michael Lewis. Sparks announced on Sunday he is transferring back to Ball State to play for Lewis, who is entering his third season as head coach in Muncie. The 6-foot-10 center played two seasons at Ball State and was an All-MAC performer there before entering the transfer portal last March. A year ago Sparks said playing at IU was a dream, but he was unable to carve-out a significant role in Bloomington. In his lone season with IU, Sparks averaged 2.1 points and 1.8…

The Hoosiers and Sooners will meet in the round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Monday at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Originally from the Anderson, Ind. area, Haralson played two years at Fishers H.S. in the Indianapolis suburbs before transferring to La Lumiere in LaPorte, Ind. Two weeks with no games has been just what the doctor ordered for the IU women. Indiana will begin in its March Madness run Saturday in Bloomington at full strength. All-American center Mackenzie Holmes is healthy and expected to start when the Hoosiers face Fairfield in first round NCAA Tournament action. “We are much healthier.  Mack (Holmes) has been really good all week, has been constant in practice,” IU coach Teri Moren said Friday at a media availability. “This break has been really good for this group.” Moren said Holmes is not on any kind of minutes restriction Saturday. Indiana now knows all of its opponents for the 2025 season. Kennesaw State’s Athletics Department announced a game against IU in Bloomington on Sept. 6, 2025. The game will be the first in series history between the two programs and will mark KSU’s first competition against a Big Ten football opponent. The Owls officially become members of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) on July 1, 2024, and will compete within Conference USA.
