Indiana will host the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season. The No. 4 seed in Albany Regional 1, Indiana will face No. 13 Fairfield (31-1) in the first round (Saturday, 1:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2). Fairfield’s lone loss of the season came at Vanderbilt by three points.  They beat Rutgers by 24 on the road, and St. John’s by five on a neutral court. Indiana’s 2023-24 season is officially over. After their 93-66 loss to Nebraska in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals in Minneapolis, the Hoosiers will pivot to rebuilding their roster for next season rather than play in the NIT, a source confirmed to The Daily Hoosier. The Hoosiers will lose Xavier Johnson and Anthony Walker to eligibility, and Kel’el Ware is expected to leave for the NBA Draft.   That will leave at least four roster openings for next season before any transfer portal departures. Indiana lost to Nebraska in Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal action Friday evening at Target Center in Minneapolis by a final score of 93-66. The Cornhuskers led at halftime 50-27.  Indiana was led in the game by C.J. Gunn with 17 points.  Mackenzie Mgbako had 16. The three keys to the game, highlights and expanded stats are below. Indiana defeated Penn State 61-59 Thursday evening to advance to the Friday quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament. Now, the revenge tour continues as Indiana tries to reach the semifinals for a third straight season. Like Thursday’s challenge, Indiana faces another team that swept them during the regular season — the No.3 seed Nebraska Cornhuskers. Nebraska beat IU by very similar scores — 86-70 on Jan. 3 in Lincoln, and 85-70 on Feb. 21 in Bloomington. Indiana survived a tight opener at the Big Ten Tournament without Trey Galloway. The Hoosiers will likely have to try to keep winning this weekend without him. The senior guard was with the team on the bench on Thursday evening but not in uniform as the Hoosiers defeated Penn State 61-59 in second round action at Target Center. Indiana defeated Penn State 61-59 on Thursday evening in second round Big Ten Tournament action at Target Center. The Hoosiers led at halftime 32-27 and were led in the game by Kel’el Ware with 18 points. The three keys to the game, highlights and final stats are below. A source tells The Daily Hoosier Trey Galloway is not expected to play against Penn State on Thursday evening after suffering a knee injury during pregame warmups Sunday. Indiana offered the top-ranked player in the 2026 class from the state of Illinois. Gabriel Sularski announced the offer on his X account following a visit to Bloomington on Sunday for the Michigan State game.  That was Sularski’s second visit to IU.  He also came for Hoosier Hysteria in October. The 6-foot-6, 190-pound Sularski led Benet Academy (Lisle, Ill.) in scoring this season as a sophomore.  A versatile inside and out scorer, he averaged 14 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists for the Class 4A regional champions. Of course we’ll cover prospects more if things progress beyond initial interest. First up is 6-foot-1 Penn graduate transfer guard Clark Slajchert.
