First up is Iowa, who’s looking to get back on track after snapping a streak of four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. The Hawkeyes finished 10-10 in Big Ten play last year, earning the No. 7 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. They finished the regular season 18-14 overall and received a No. 3 seed in the NIT, where they defeated Kansas State in the first round before losing to Utah in round two, for a…

On December 20, 2023, Curt Cignetti made a statement that’s followed him ever since. Less than three weeks earlier, he officially took over as Indiana’s head football coach, and displayed extreme confidence seldom associated with the program he was joining. His introductory press conference on December 1 — along with his brash comments to the crowd at the IU men’s basketball game later that day — kicked off an offseason spent reinvigorating a fan base longing for gridiron success. But his line during the Early Signing Day press conference became the quote printed on posters and slapped over social media…

For the first time since 2020, Indiana football is bowl-eligible. The 23rd-ranked Hoosiers defeated Northwestern on Saturday, 41-24, for their first win in Evanston, Ill. since 1993. It sent them to 6-0 for just the second time in program history — their only other 6-0 start was the 1967 Rose Bowl season. And it made IU the first team in the country this year to cross the six-win threshold to become eligible for a bowl game. It’s a historic accomplishment for Curt Cignetti in his first season as Indiana head coach. He’s the first IU head coach to ever start…

Warnell transferred in during the spring portal window, so he spent just five months with the program. He was expected to provide depth in the secondary, but he was unable to earn a role in the first half of the…

BLOOMINGTON — Entering week five, the biggest knock against Indiana football was its lack of a real test. The Hoosiers steamrolled through their first four weeks of the 2024 season. But that group included just one Power Four opponent — UCLA, which was expected to finish in the bottom half of the Big Ten — and one of the worst FCS teams in the country in Western Illinois. IU looked excellent in those games, and set itself up well for the rest of the year. But those teams rarely, if ever, forced Indiana to face difficult moments. And the schedule…
