From Dasan McCullough’s first practice with Indiana football, Cam Jones knew. The veteran linebacker already knew McCullough from his recruitment and through his father, former IU running backs coach Deland. But until fall camp started, Jones hadn’t seen him actually suit up and play football. And that day, he quickly recognized what the Hoosiers had in this touted freshman. “He was pretty locked in and he was ready to go. Indiana’s offense sported a lot of new faces entering this 2022 season, and many of those players featured during the opening game against Illinois. Few made their presence felt as early and as often as wide receiver Cam Camper. The junior caught a 40-yard pass from Connor Bazelak on Indiana’s opening offensive possession, and was a focal point of Indiana’s offense all night. He received a team-high 18 targets, and finished with 11 receptions for 156 yards, tying several others for the 17th-most receptions in a game in program history. Update: Early in the 2022-23 athletic year, Iman Tucker took over for DJ Gno for IU football and men’s basketball, on top of the women’s basketball games he was already doing. Memorial Stadium and Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall are getting some new beats. DJ Gno (pronounced know) announced Thursday on Fox 59 that he’s now the official DJ for IU football and men’s basketball. He said he’ll be at every home game this year.
