Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman met with the media on Sunday afternoon after it was revealed his team would face Indiana in the first round of the College Football Playoff. Freeman took questions soon after the CFP bracket was announced, so he did not have much of a chance to begin preparing for IU.  Below are his specific comments about the Hoosiers. The College Football Playoff bracket will be announced on Sunday afternoon, and IU coach Curt Cignetti is making his final pitch to the Committee. The first year leader of the Indiana program believes his 11-1 team deserves to be playing at home when the CFP kicks off the the weekend of Dec. 20. But the Hoosiers are currently ranked No. 9 by the Committee and seeded No. 10 in the bracket.  Seeds No. 5-8 will host in the CFP’s first round.  Unless there are dramatic shifts in the final bracket, IU will be playing on the road. Thompson is playing alongside fellow former Hoosier Xavier Johnson for the Memphis Hustle in the NBA G League this season.
