A transfer from Wake Forest, Ellison discussed why he chose IU, what he likes about Curt Cignetti, the outlook for the 2024 season, and much more. The 5-foot-9 and 210-pound Ellison appeared in 43 games with 20 starts over four seasons at Wake Forest (2020-23).  He was named third-team All-ACC in 2022. IU men’s soccer kicks off their 2024 season tomorrow, and they’ll do so as a national top-10 program and the consensus favorite to repeat as league champions. Big Ten men’s soccer coaches unanimously selected Indiana to repeat as Big Ten Champions as the conference office published its 2024 season preview this week. Several members of the team also received individual preseason honors from the Big Ten and Top Drawer Soccer. Watch as IU football running back Ty Son Lawton met with the media this week. The 5-foot-9 and 208-pound Lawton is set to begin his seventh season of college football.  The New York native has appeared in 39 career games with 22 starts. Lawton spent five seasons at Stony Brook (2018-22) and one season at James Madison (2023). He was named first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association as a junior.  Lawton has rushed for 2,660 yards on 583 carries and 26 touchdowns in his career. Watch as IU football cornerback Jamier Johnson met with the media on Wednesday in Bloomington. The 5-foot-11 and 181-pound redshirt junior transferred to Indiana from Texas prior to the 2023 season. A consensus 4-star recruit from California, Johnson has appeared in 21 games with four starts thus far during his college career.  He missed eight games in 2023 with IU due to injuries. Listen as IU basketball sophomore guard Gabe Cupps joined former Hoosier Miller Kopp on the Player’s Perspective Podcast. Cupps reflects on his childhood as the son of a coach, his work ethic, offseason workouts, and freshman season at Indiana. At Centerville High School, Cupps played for his father Brook.  Together they won the state title in 2021, and Cupps won Ohio Mr. Basketball in 2022. At IU, the 6-foot-2 Cupps averaged 2.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.7 steals in 21.7 minutes per game as a true freshman in 2023-24. Watch as men’s IU basketball player Gabe Cupps and women’s player Sydney Parrish met with local media over the weekend at a meet-and-greet event with fans in Fort Wayne. A native of Ohio, Cupps made 22 starts in 33 appearances as a freshman and averaged 2.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.7 steals in 21.7 minutes per game. A product of Fishers, Ind., Parrish played in 25 games, starting in 24 in 2023-24.  She averaged 10.8 points, 6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.  Parrish shot 45.3 percent from the floor, 40 percent from the 3-point line and 79.2.…
