Former IU linebacker Cam Jones is the 19th Hoosier to win a Super Bowl title after Kansas City defeated San Francisco 25-22 on Sunday evening.  Former IU players have now won a total of 21 Super Bowl rings. An undrafted free agent after an All-Big Ten career with Indiana, Jones helped the Chiefs reach Super Bowl LVII.  Overall, he was the 29th Hoosier alumnus to reach the Super Bowl. Watch as IU coach Teri Moren met with the media on Sunday following a 95-62 win over Purdue in Bloomington. During the game, IU forward Mackenzie Holmes became the program’s all-time leading scorer.  Moren, Holmes and Chloe Moore-McNeil all discussed that accomplishment and the win. Watch as IU class of 2024 signee Liam McNeeley, and his Montverde Academy teammate Derik Queen went head-to-head against La Lumiere and IU recruiting targets Jalen Haralson and Derik Queen. Indiana is recruiting Queen in the 2024 class, and in-state product Haralson and Adams in the 2025 class.  IU also recently offered Montverde sophomore Kayden Allen. Multiple former IU basketball stars are in the news Thursday. Golden State Warriors rookie forward Trayce Jackson-Davis is back in Indianapolis to face the Indiana Pacers Thursday evening. Jackson-Davis has had a strong rookie campaign with the Warriors thus far.  He’s averaging 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds over 13.6 minutes per contest while shooting 69 percent from the field.  The IU all-time leader in rebounds and blocks has appeared in 36 games. It isn’t clear if or when Xavier Johnson will return for Indiana this season. The sixth-year guard is out indefinitely with only eight games left in Indiana’s regular season — and only eight regular season games left in his college basketball career.
